Columbus Christmas Parade and Christmas at the Park Event

Saturday, December 2 Parade at 4 pm

Christmas is coming to Columbus on Saturday, December 2nd!  The annual Christmas Parade begins at 4 PM with a variety of decorative floats, performances, and Santa Claus.  Parade walkers will be handing out candy to the children along the route.

Following the parade at 4:30 PM, be sure to bring the whole family to Stearns Park for Hometown Christmas.  Local churches will be hosting many of the booths, as well as town staff and crews, the Polk County Public Library storytellers, and committee members.  Enjoy Christmas music and carolers, hot chocolate, mulled cider and candy canes, fresh popcorn, cookie decorating station, merchant gifts, Christmas tree lighting, listen to Christmas stories, visit the live Nativity scene, and have your picture taken with Santa Claus in the Gazebo.  Santa’s Mail Box is already up at the corner of the park, ready for letters!  Thermal Belt Outreach will have a collection booth for non-perishable food donations for the needy, so please remember the blessing of giving.

This event is sponsored by Columbus Fire and Rescue, the Town of Columbus, and Discover Columbus.
